Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and AIPlagScan (“we,” “us” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using any part of the AIPlagScan service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities that occur under your account. Do not share your account with others or resell access to the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use AIPlagScan only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Upload, transmit or share content that you do not have the right to share or that violates any law.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, duplicate or exploit any part of the service beyond the intended use.
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the service, including trying to circumvent usage limits or access other users’ data.
  • Use the service to develop a competing product or service.

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your account.

Service Description

AIPlagScan processes your uploaded documents to produce two distinct reports: an AI Detection Report showing the percentage of text predicted as AI‑generated, and a Similarity Report highlighting overlaps with other sources. The service is intended to provide informational insights only. We do not guarantee that our analysis will match the results of any external institution or organisation. Processing times may vary depending on system load and document length.

User Content

You retain ownership of the documents you upload and any intellectual property rights therein. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of generating reports and enforcing usage limits. We do not claim ownership of your documents. We delete the uploaded file after processing and retain only the reports and minimal metadata as described in our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe the rights of others.

Subscriptions and Billing

AIPlagScan offers paid subscriptions via PayPal. Tier 1 and Tier 2 subscriptions are available monthly or yearly. A subscription continues until you cancel or it is terminated under these Terms. Fees are charged in advance and are non‑refundable except where required by law. You may upgrade or downgrade plans at any time. Purchasing a one‑time add‑on grants additional checks on monthly plans only. See the pricing page for current rates.

If PayPal cannot process your payment, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled. We reserve the right to change our fees at any time upon notice to you.

Disclaimers

AIPlagScan provides information and tools to help you evaluate your documents. We do not make any promises that your results will match the assessments of your school, employer or any third party. The AI and similarity scores are probabilistic and should be interpreted with caution. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We expressly disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIPlagScan and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, violate applicable law or engage in behaviour that we reasonably determine may harm us or other users. We will make a reasonable effort to notify you of the reason and provide an opportunity to cure, unless prohibited by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or PayPal. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on our website or via email before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service.
