Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and AIPlagScan (“we,” “us” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing checks, or using any part of the AIPlagScan service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Do not share your account with others or resell access to the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use AIPlagScan only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Upload, transmit or share content that you do not have the right to share or that violates any law.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, duplicate or exploit any part of the service beyond its intended use.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service, including trying to bypass usage limits or access other users’ data.
• Use the service to develop a competing product or service.

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your account.

Service Description

AIPlagScan processes uploaded documents to produce two distinct reports: an AI Detection Report showing the percentage of text predicted as AI-generated, and a Similarity Report highlighting overlaps with other sources. The service is provided for informational use only. We do not guarantee that our analysis will match the results of any school, employer, publisher, or other third party.

User Content

You retain ownership of the documents you upload and any intellectual property rights in them. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of generating reports and enforcing usage limits. We do not claim ownership of your documents. We delete the uploaded file after processing and retain only the reports and minimal metadata as described in our Privacy Policy.

Checks, Packages, and Billing

AIPlagScan sells prepaid check packages via PayPal. Each completed payment grants the number of checks shown on the pricing page. Each package is valid for 30 days from activation unless otherwise stated. Payments are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions.

Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or where our Refund Policy allows otherwise. Unused checks expire at the end of the package validity period and do not roll over. We may change prices, package structures, or promotional offers at any time by updating the pricing page.

If PayPal cannot process your payment, your purchase may fail or remain pending. Access is only granted after successful payment confirmation.

No Repository Submission

AIPlagScan does not submit your uploaded document to a student repository as part of the normal checking process described on this website. However, you remain responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with your institution’s rules and any third-party requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIPlagScan and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, violate applicable law, or engage in behaviour that may harm us or other users. We will make a reasonable effort to notify you of the reason and provide an opportunity to cure where appropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, although already generated records may be retained as required for operations, dispute handling, or legal compliance.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on our website or via email before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service.
